Responsibility in Meera is passed down to the eldest child of the previous rulers, and whoever said child decides to marry.
For example, former King Lux and Queen Herma had an eldest son, named Lance Storm. After the regicide passing of his parents, he took over the mantle at 18 years of age. He married a fisherman's daughter named Alice, and now they rule Meera with their three kids and pet loyal jester.
